Throughout Dr. Davey’s life, his pets have always been a part of the family.
When he was young they taught him responsibility and compassion, and they were a part of every childhood memory. As he grew older, they have always been loving companions and friends. So, when Dr. Davey was given the opportunity to attend Washington State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, it was a dream come true. Since then, he has had the opportunity to practice medicine in Colorado, Florida, Pennsylvania, and now Tennessee. He is honored to share his passion for animals and to help other families share the same joy that he has with his pets.
In Dr. Davey’s family he has two flat-faced pets: his cat Cadbury, and Monty, the most spoiled little French bulldog that you’ll ever meet. Caring for his own pets as they’ve grown older and developed medical conditions has given him perspective and understanding for helping others to care for their pets too.
What Dr. Davey finds most fulfilling about his work is empowering clients to provide the best possible care for their pets. There’s nothing he loves hearing more than “he’s acting like a puppy again” or “she’s been so much more loving recently” after starting a new treatment. Dr. Davey’s priority in caring for pets is to strengthen the bond that people share with their animals by helping all aspects of their care – from diet and behavior to medications and surgery, he wants to do everything he can to support their health and well-being.
